Nervous at 7 weeks pregnant after MMC

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can share some positive experiences / insight to help calm my nerves over the few days.

I had a MMC at 7 weeks in July and I'm 7 weeks pregnant again.

I had a bleed for a couple of hours at 51/2 weeks (not heavy) and have had brown discharge on and off since then.

I called emergency gynae today and they offered me a scan on Sunday.

I'm just so nervous now.

I also did a pregnancy test the day after the bleed and one yesterday and they were both just as strong as each other.

Last time I felt very sick from early on but this time no sickness just very tired and have a noticed a change in my boobs. The occasional short lived headache too.

I know it's out of my hands really and I'll try and distract myself till Sunday but I just thought some similar stories might help. I'm 43 too so a bit concerned about that.

Thanks ☺️

Hi @Aquacoast9 I’m sorry for your loss and congratulations on your new pregnancy. I’ve been in a similar situation - I’ve had two MMC, both at 11 weeks and I am now 14 weeks pregnant, so hoping this one will be my rainbow baby. I think it’s just a case of getting through however you can, whatever you need to do to cope until the scan. I bled on and off throughout my pregnancy with my son, and didn’t with the miscarriages. The chances of two miscarriages in a row are fairly low so the odds are on your side. Keeping my fingers crossed for you

Don't have a success story but didn't want to read and run. I'm on week 5 of pregnancy #2 after a loss in the summer, so know how you're feeling. The wait is so cruel! My symptoms this time are totally different, I think that's just the way of things. Take care of yourself, do nice things and be gentle. It ain't over til it's over. xxx

Sorry for your loss & congrats on your new pregnancy🩷 i had a MC June 2023 (6w) and a MMC April 2024 (7w) and i am now 15 weeks pregnant. I bled in both my first 2 pregnancies which led to MC’s and in my current pregnancy I spotted from week 5 until week 8. I was being consultant led through this pregnancy up until 11 weeks so I was given progesterone pessaries to take until 12 weeks and that did stop the bleed. I would say tell the EPU that you have suffered a MMC previously and spotting in this pregnancy & ask for progesterone for your own piece of mind. I haven’t had any spotting once i Started taking the progesterone pessaries. All the best hun♥️

It's awful I had a miscarriage before each of my successful pregnancies, it is hard because the first 12 weeks drag and it's so nerve wracking and the excitement is gone because of your previous experience. Hang in there and how everything is ok on Sunday.

Hi love!

Sending you a huge cuddle. I had a MMC at 7 weeks too in April. Hands down the worst time of my life, it's really awful. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant after we conceived again in July and baby is happy and wriggly!!! The miscarriage was my first pregnancy, and I know I was very lucky to get pregnant again so quickly. But just wanted to say that a lovely healthy pregnancy is very possible after a MC, although I completely get it's so scary. Sending you loads of love and positive vibes for Sunday 💛
