WARNING: picture shows discharge

Hi everyone, I’m 4+1 today. Yesterday was my expected period day and I started getting pale brown discharge (as shown in pic). It stopped at night and now it’s back.

my test lines have been getting stronger, today‘s test was the beginning of a dye stealer on an early 10miu at what would be 15dpo.

however I have had miscarriages and ectopic before and I’m really worried.

i have also had cramps (for about a week now). They are not severe but they can get annoying.

has anyone else experienced this? I’m really worried it will turn into a miscarriage 😭

I had exactly the same. Cramping and some spotting in weeks 4 and 5. I can’t remember exactly when it settled down but lines kept getting darker.
I now have a 6 month old.
These early days are so stressful 🫂

Bleeds early on are so difficult, I had bleeds which did become a MC but I read so many positive experiences and I think the stats were 1/4 women who have a successful pregnancy have bleeding at some stage so it isn't a definite MC it's just difficult because it is a sign.

I would speak to your GP or EPU depending on your local area policy, good luck and sending so much baby dust xx

Please go to EPU. I had good line progression but brown spotting no other symptoms and it was an ectopic

How did they diagnose? With ultrasound? I have had an ectopic in the past :( but with that one my hcg was super low and all over the place. But I did have bleeding constantly

Thank you for sharing your experience. Was the spotting brown?

Mine varied between pink and brown. Have you seen the EPU?

FfsBrian · 31/10/2024 19:12

Give the EPU a ring in the morning. Your history of ectopic, cramping & bleeding should make them bring in. Is the pain in one particular side?

I went literally the day I got my bfp at 12dpo as could feel pain in my left tube, they scanned me and said I ovulated the right side so they were not too worried but luckily took me seriously. They did hcg tests 48 hrs apart which barely increased so they then saw something wasn’t right but scans every 48 hrs didn’t show anything till a week after my first one when they saw a ‘doughnut sign with sliding ‘ (??) on my left tube. I’ve never had a pain like it before it wasn’t severe but was something I’d never felt and I knew it was something in my tube if that makes sense .

My hcg levels were 421 , 463, 510, 556 . I had methotrexate treatment which worked really quick and saved my tube which is fine as I had a HyCoSy a few months later although no luck ttc still

I’ve been seen by the EPU today, they took my bloods and I’m coming back to repeat on Saturday. 304 today on 16dpo. I don’t have cramps on one side, and the bleeding was light so they are watching it for now as they won’t be able to see anything on scan yet. But they said if anything changes call back asap

I had brown spotting starting at 4 weeks exactly and lasted for 8 days. Like you my lines got darker each day. EPU agreed to scan me at 6 weeks and saw everything was in the right place and a little heartbeat. Spotting returned at 8 weeks and lasted for 10 days that time. I'm now 23 weeks. No cause for spotting was found and it was very worrying (my last pregnancy ended in MMC) but it can be a normal part of early pregnancy. Hoping for the very best for you xx
