Just want some reassurance as baby has been very very quiet for the last couple of days and refusing to move today. Tried sugary drinks and all other stuff but he is not moving. Have been on the phone with my midwife twice this week already so really don't want to call her again. Do I need to be concerned?

Thanks

I've just seen this. I'm so glad that you and your little one are okay.

moodlumthehoodlum · 25/04/2008 22:53

Great news TC. That's a huge relief. Now we'll wait for the birth announcement thread!

SmoothandWilkie · 25/04/2008 23:18

Is it sad that I just sneaked downstairs from my bed as I was reading this thread erlier and thinking about you!!

Glad everything OK. Naughty little thing.

Can I go back to bed now?

Have a great weekend x

NotABanana · 26/04/2008 06:42

SO glad that all is okay.

Remember that you should still get 10 movements in 12 hours and if there is any change at all to go back in for monitoring.

Don't believe babies slow down as there is no room to move, you should still get regular movements.

belgo · 26/04/2008 07:48

Glad you were reassured last night - I hope all is still well and do not hesitate to go back to the hospital if the baby still isn't moving.

fettle · 26/04/2008 08:50

fantastic news TC08!! So pleased everything was ok! Have also heard babies sleep to prepare for labour, but I was induced early with both mine so can't comment from experience!

Take care and take it easy and don't for a moment think that you wasted their time yesterday however busy they were.

TC08 · 26/04/2008 08:53

Morning Ladies!!!

Just had my massive bowl of cereal and waiting for kicks/moves. A bit concerned he will be slow again as do not want to go back to the hospital

Thank you again for all your support. x

Here's hoping the baby plays football inside you today

bringmesunshine · 26/04/2008 09:24

Good morning TC08 - I think you have every justification for having chocolate for breakfast

Seriously, if you do get concerned I remember my midwife telling me when I was pregnant with DC2 that a couple of Fruit Pastilles usually did the trick.

With DC2 I remember sitting on the bed and stroking and proding my bump for well over an hour and there was nothing from DC. I was in floods of tears presuming the worse and then when I had got DC1 ready to head to the hospital a huge kick

Best of luck and keep us updated

ladytophamhatt · 26/04/2008 09:29

Logged on especially to see if there any news.

I'm glad all is well in the TC08 house

DoubleBluff · 26/04/2008 09:49

Phew, just logged on to see how things went.
Glad all is well and baby arrives soon!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 26/04/2008 10:38

morning.

Just logged on to check how you got on.

Glad to se baby ok yesterday, I wouldn't be at all surprised if you have it soon.

xx

NotABanana · 26/04/2008 13:26

Anytime you feel worried you need to go and be checked if you can't get baby to wake up.

Just remember this is your baby and do not worry or care what the midwives may or may not feel. When this is all over you will have a lovely baby and you won't spend any time thinking about feeling that you wasted anyone's time.

The midwives want a good outcome too and would much rather see you and send you home with all okay than see you too late.

flamingtoaster · 26/04/2008 14:50

So glad your baby is OK. As others have said the midwives would much rather you went and be checked than leave it until there is a problem.

belgo · 27/04/2008 13:34

Any further news TC?

avenanap · 27/04/2008 15:15

Just wondering how you are?

missnatalie · 27/04/2008 19:57

How are you this evening TC? I had the same problem with DS (+ high BP and reduced amniotic fluid). It was really scary but i did have a doppler so that i could check for his HB. I ended up being induced at 38+6 in the end.
Hope that all is ok and LO iskicking like a football player!! xx

jk1 · 27/04/2008 20:02

I would just go straight to your maternity unit and get them to monitor you, there is no point sitting at home worrying. Having babies is one time when you really need to learn to be assertive.

Hope all is well.

needahand · 28/04/2008 09:13

Hi TC08 I am so glad everything went well! I think you are going back to hospital today so good luck! We are all thinking of you

Mikafan · 30/04/2008 13:18
