How did everyone else's sweep go?

Hi I’m 37weeks+5 today and had my sweep yesterday 10.30 due to a medical condition. I had very mild cramping after for about 3 hours and then nothing, i had a bloody show and then more cramping that woke me up at 4.30am however that went within an hour and nothing since.

i was 1-2cm dilated and cervix is very short(less than a cm) it is in the middle and baby is fully engaged.

after wards i stayed active on my ball, did some walking, smexy time and evening primrose oil.

Did anyone else have this experience if so when did you eventually go into labour?

I had similar after my sweep, cramping, bloody show, the cramping was on & off for 12 ish hours and was really quite painful. But unfortunately it didn’t send me into labour! Good luck x

Thank you. I really hope mine works as my consultant and my 2 midwifes are all on annual leave so cant have another until next Tuesday:(
Ive had more cramping since and a massive show and then My specialist midwife phoned and said its all good signs, and she would be highly surprised if it didn't work. She thinks I'm in early labour but because I'm so unwell it keeps stopping and starting. I think I am just going to do a bit of shopping to keep active.

With my last pregnancy I had a sweep at 37 weeks and lots of cramping and lost mucus plug. Then it died down and I was induced at 38 weeks. He didn't arrive until 39 weeks!

I had a sweep yesterday at 39+5 as baby is measuring 9lbs 5oz due to very late diagnosed GD.

really hoped to go into labour last night as the sweep i had with my first birth seemed to do the trick. Had cramps and lots of bloody show, but nothing substantial

since then I’ve been sat on the induction ward at the hospital since 9.30am this morning, but not yet been induced because I’m dilated enough for them to break my waters, but they can only break waters on the Labour ward, which has no beds as of yet.

Every time I get up to go to the loo, I hope my waters just break on their own so things get going, but baby seems to be in no hurry at all!

ive had another one done, i am now 2cm, cervix is still a cm long and have lost all of my mucus plug. I now have had constant cramps that keep getting worse in intervals but never leave. Fingers crossed this time🤞🏻🤞🏻

Had my sweep done 3 days ago, at 38+3 weeks but no signs yet apart from mucus plug. I don't think the sweeps worked and I'm gutted 😢 really hoped it would've moved things along spontaneously for me.
