Bleeding all day at 5 weeks pregnancy and nothing visible on scan

Hi to all mummies. I really hope someone can help/ comfort me.

My last period was September 12th. I have irregular periods and my cycle varies from 34 days to 40 days. I tested positive twice and was very happy because I been trying so long to get pregnant. Im not sure how many weeks pregnant i am because of my long irregular cycles. However, this morning out of the blue I started bleeding very heavily and I was bleeding all day. I went to early pregnancy centre. They did a transvaginal scan but couldn't see anything. They told me that it could be the following:

1. A miscarriage...but need to double check and took blood tests to test for hcg levels
2. Pregnancy could be in another place
3. Could be a chemical pregnancy
4. Pregnancy might be fine and might be too small to detect on scan

I have been bleeding all day, I have abdomen pain and upper thigh pain and can't stay standing comfortably for more than 2 mins. I have the same sensation that I get when I first start my heavy periods. I'm convinced it's a miscarriage but can anyone else who's had similar experience please share your thoughts and experience
