Protein in urine 27 weeks pregnant

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has had increased protein in urine with no other symptoms? Currently waiting for blood test results. Blood pressure normal, was monitored for 20 mins, good strong heart beat of baby heard. Thanks !

Yes I’m 24 weeks I have traces of protein in my urine. No other symptoms. Midwife’s not concerned unless other symptoms arise

Keep an eye on it - you can order cheap test strips off amazon that you can do yourself at home.

I had this and no other symptoms initially but they did start creeping in a few weeks later. By 36 weeks the trace urine was much more and I had high BP, headaches plus I was extremely swollen - I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and admitted to hospital at 37 weeks (DD1 was perfectly healthy and is now 4).

It doesn't always lead to PE but it's definitely something you need to keep an eye on.

As pp said try to keep an eye on it. I had traces of protein in my 30 week apt and because everything else was fine eg bp and no symptoms the midwife dismissed it. The next day I went into hospital for reduced movements, while in my bp increased. Essentially it was the very start of preeclampsia for me. Had DS at 35 weeks. He’s a healthy 1.5yr old now.

I think it can just happen and not be PE but just be on the lookout.

I phoned to chase up my blood results today and they had “overlooked” my results it was a very good job I called as they have told me to go straight to triage as they are concerned about my liver! I’m on my way now! Will keep you posted thanks for the response!
