Gender on my ultrasound ??

Hi everyone! Had a private gender scan today, 16 weeks 4 days… we’ve been told a boy but I’m going crazy about the two horizontal lines and wondering how it is boy bits? 😂Just wondering what others think of it based on their experiences and scans. Thank you

At 16 weeks it's probably very hard to tell but basically all embryos start out as aesthetically 'female' in the nether region as this is the default starting point in a structural sense. So if it looks female this is probably why...if a skilled sonographer has said male then I would go by their view

Don't forget they are a) professions and b) were looking at a moving image, not the still photo you've posted. You won't normally be told boy and it be wrong. Also I think you're looking at it the wrong way round, I think the legs are sticking up so a girl would appear as two vertical lines, if that makes sense?
