Hello lovelies, I had a early scan yesterday because or spotting for 5 days.. baby's heartbeat was good she just couldn't get a really clear look as I've got a tilted uterus. Anyway I'm still spotting today but tonight I've had this bloody thick mucus and it's terrified me. Has anyone had similar? Going by my last period I'd be 8 weeks but the scan was measuring 7 weeks. Thank you. X

Was it an internal scan? If she's had to poke around a fair bit it could easily have irritated your cervix and led to some bleeding x

Yes it was internal. I had one a about 8 days ago & the spotting started the night after that so they did another one yesterday too check on baby & I got that blob of discharge tonight. But yes it all started after the internal a week ago. X

I had spotting after mine too. In that case I'd give it a few days and see. It should lessen (although if you have sex that might set it off again if it's a grumpy cervix 😂). Best of luck, seeing blood is always very stressful x

I would call epu again tomorrow and say it's bloody discharge instead of just spotting now and get there advice..sometimes it's fine for some people sometimes it's not so it'll be them who can advise on what next x

I will, thank you x

Hi lovely, I also had bloody discharge after my internal scan a few weeks ago. Most likely this has hit the cervix and caused a bleed. Usually nothing to worry about! If I were you, I’d call EPU and tell them what’s happened as you might be able to get another scan on the NHS to double check. It’s a good opportunity to put your mind at rest and ask any questions. Thats what ended up happening to me, and I left feeling a lot more confident. Good luck ❤️

I have had 4 pregnancies. 2 (twin pregnancies) ended in MMC no bleeding at all. I had no idea I'd lost the pregnancies until the scams. 1 singleton, I bleed throughout the first and half of the second trimester. I had constant scans and was actually on bed rest. 2nd singleton no bleeding at all.

I think your best to stop having people picking around down their. Id also avoid sex, organisms until your 12 weeks. Just to avoid irritation. The bleeding can be a bad sign but ultimately only a scam can really tell.
