Hi,
I am Dhivya Gopal. I live in Harrow, London. This is my first pregnancy, I have lots of questions and just would like to connect with somebody going through the same things. Drop me a line. Thanks.

Hi Mrsttcno1,
Thankyou so much for replying ! I feel like I have lost interest in everything. I dont feel like doing anything. Is this normal? How long will this phase be?

It totally depends on the person but for me I went through short phases of this throughout my pregnancy, but it was at its worst in my first trimester. I was so exhausted, so nauseous, I was really just in survival mode! It eased off once I was in my second trimester and I felt back to my usual self, then towards the very end of my pregnancy I lost interest in things again and was back to survival mode.

Please do speak to your midwife about how you are feeling though, it may just be normal pregnancy feelings but equally if it keeps up and is really impacting your day to day life then it could be that you need some extra support with your mental health during pregnancy and your midwife can help grt you that support x

Could be worth downloading the app ‘Peanut’ - it’s like a dating app but for new mums/expectant mums. Congratulations!

Was going to say the same thing! There's lots of different groups and people on Peanut, I bet you'll find some local mums to connect with. Good luck.

I think that's normal. Being pregnant is a lot to deal with and there's an adjustment period. I'm 26 weeks with my second and it's still been an emotional ride! I agree with previous posters, peanut is a great way to meet other mums in your area. I'd mention any worries you have to the midwife too. Do you have a supportive partner that you can chat to?

Hi Dhivya, have you joined the Mumsnet thread with other mothers who are due the same month as you? I found my group here really helpful and supportive.

We made a Facebook group after a while and we're still in touch now our DC are in their teens.

When are you due, is it June? If so the June thread is here https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5171110-due-june-2025

Or if my maths is rubbish look on the pregnancy board for the right month.
