Is there a way to ensure boobs do not change size after breastfeeding or is it inevitable?
I have felt the most confident I ever have with them growing in size and I am terrified of losing them after breastfeeding. Their size and lack of shape really affected my mental health beforehand so I really don't know what I would do if they disappeared. I don't like to sound vain or shallow like it is the end of the world. Before I was mostly areola so after breastfeeding they could look even worse than before.

Hate to break it to you but your breasts will change shape/size regardless of breastfeeding or not. It is the actual pregnancy that changes them and then they change when the milk comes in - which happens whether you breastfeed or not.

Your body will change regardless of the type of birth you have too. But you r body is amazing. You are growing a whole new human.

Good luck.

There’s nothing you can do, they look amazing during pregnancy and when your milk comes in you look like you’ve had the best most expensive boob job known to man, but regardless of whether you breastfeed or not they change after pregnancy. They’re not full, round and perky anymore because you don’t have the raging pregnancy hormones and milk, there’s nothing you can do about that.

From my own personal experience though I do think you see them differently after breastfeeding. I’d be the first to admit mine are a bit saggy and floppy now, but I don’t mind, I see them as the things that fed and continue to feed my thriving little baby!

I fed until 18 months but my boobs already shrank back to nothing after the first 6 months

Sorry they will change throughout your pregnancy and PP journey if you breast feed or not. And interestingly they can change from one pregnancy to the next.
So me once fulky weaned my boobs say much lower and were much more soft and droopy. Deapite wearing sports bras in pregnancy and maternity sport bras PP made 0 difference to me they never went back and lost fullness 100%.
Now EBF DS2 and they are lookong fantastic but once the Breast feeding journey ends they will be very deflated and limp. Just part of motherhood.

If it's any consolation, mine don't look terrible after 9 months of breastfeeding- I actually went up from a C to F cup, but softer and a bit lower now. Different but still alright.

You should consider talking to someone about body Image if this is really weighing on your mind- your body won't look the same after pregnancy- not "bad", but different- and if that genuinely terrified you, you might struggle.

I breast fed for a combined total of about 5 years and my boobs are the same as they always were before at a C cup
