Unfortunately I think I’ve had a chemical pregnancy

tested positive Wednesday with a FRER clear blue and about 7 hcg strips and Friday and today my hcg strips are negative and I’ve bled since Wednesday evening.

is there anything I need to do? Thursday I had awful cramps line a period and now I’m just tired. :(

thank you. Xx

sorry for your loss. If you are trying for baby I would say contact your gp so they have a record of it so if it does happen again they can look into if there is a reason. But medically there isn’t anything you need to do. Take care x

Sending lots of love to you OP, it so disappointing. ❤️

I had a MMC in Nov 2019 and then a chemical in Jan 2020 and I agree with the previous poster. I would let your GP know. I told my GP when it happened and they took it really seriously and started to refer me for blood tests to see if there was anything underlying.

It’s highly unlikely this will be a pattern :) but at least you have it noted if it is.

fingers crossed for your next time trying ❤️❤️

Thank you it is devastating. I hope you don’t mind me asking but did you have a baby after your chemical and miscarriage? Thank you xx

I did - fell pregnant the next month with DS who is four on Tuesday and bossing me around like it’s anyone’s business! 🤣

it’s so easy for me to say it - especially when at the time I just thought it was going to be like that forever, but a CP is usually the bodies way of saying it isn’t a viable pregnancy or that something could have been wrong further down the pregnancy.

most people who have a CP go on to have a perfectly normal pregnancy and baby 🩷🩵 be kind to yourself OP xx
