Hi. Found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks, went to the EPPC, (5weeks pregnant) with lots of period type cramps, had an internal scan, seen pregnancy sac, told to come back in 1 week (6 weeks pregnant) for review. The midwife said she isn’t concerned at the moment but she would have liked to see more progress, Tiny wee tot is measuring 3mm, she said she would like the sac to be bigger? So I’m booked in again for 2 weeks. Has anyone been through this? So worried 🙈

This sounds normal for only 6 weeks to be honest. They're working in fractions of mm so very hard to get accurate measurements and often still too early to see an embryo and heartbeat etc.
A scan at 8 weeks will be much better.

we had a scan where i was 5w6d and they found the sac but no baby (yet)...we have to wait for another 10 days to confirm if all ok. I had the cramps and spotting too hence why they scanned me....my progesterone was low so i was glad i trusted my instinces and now on medication to help boost up my levels.

I hope all is ok for your next scan

Was this abdominal or transvaginal OP? I'm struggling to see what I'm looking at on that picture to be honest

It’s was an internal.. it’s that small it’s hard to see. There’s a tiny little dot to the right. Midwife said it measures 3mm. I thought myself it’s very small

Yeah I had them with my first but these ones were more strong so that’s why I went to the eppc

Did she mention if there was a yolk sac or fetal pole visible? The scan picture isn't very clear but she said that she wasn't concerned at the moment which is a positive sign.
Maybe you ovulated late and are a week behind where you think you should be?

Yeah she said about the feral pole a the sac.. im hoping so, yeah she said she’s no concerns at the moment. It will be a long wait to the 11th of November 🙈 thankfully I don’t have the cramps or anything. Iknow that picture isn’t the best. She measured and CRL is 3mm

It's so hard to tell from that photo. This was my scan pic at 6+1, I was lucky as there was an embryo and heartbeat but that's not always the case that early.

If you weren't tracking ovulation, your dates could just be a little off which would explain the smaller measurements.

Unfortunately, there's no way of getting any answers until your next scan But fingers crossed all is as it should be then.
Good luck

Yeah I haven’t been tracking it. Yeah your picture is so much better, I’m just hoping when I go back there’s a big change. I didn’t have to go to the early pregnancy clinic with my first so I haven’t a clue what to be looking for if you get me.
many thanks ☺️
