Currently 24 weeks and the last 2 days have felt what can only be described as what feels like a phone vibration every now and then deep inside the womb?! Same place, down low and last for several seconds at a time then goes away… cant even feel it when I touch my stomach as it starts and have no pain or discomfort but its the strangest feeling… a proper constant buzzing! What could this be? .. (baby is nicely active too so wouldnt say I am stressing just yet about it)

Hiccups?

AnellaA · 22/10/2024 22:29

Does your baby already have an iPhone?

Dont think it could be hiccups, it lasts about 7-8 secs at a time with a constant buzz/vibration sensation.. plenty of other popping and thumping going on which is likely the hiccups. Its in the exact same place each time too whereas baby is constantly moving. Someone has mentioned this could be muscle spasms but iv never heard of it before?

Baby trumping? 😁

I had this and the question comes up reasonably often. Someone also suggests hiccups or baby movements and it isn't like that. It is a proper vibration, a movement 100 times faster than hiccups.

Most likely explanation I ever got was that it was the baby temporarily pressing on a nerve. Nothing to worry about.

I think I had this🤔, because I remember googling about baby hiccups and thinking that really doesn't sounds like what I'm feeling. I don't have an answer sorry. Think it only lasted a couple of weeks at most.

When I’ve had this whilst not pregnant it’s been a water jnfection

I’ve had 3 children and this triggered a memory - pretty sure I experienced that feeling being pregnant. I think it’s baby pressing on a nerve ☺️
