Worried about blood work

Hi there I just got my 28 week blood test results. At my booking appointment I had a slightly elevated MCH but nothing else abnormal.
This time I have low levels point to iron deficiency and high MCH as well. I've got myself worried that I have folate deficiency and the baby will have spina bifida or something. Can anyone shed a little light tonight before I call the midwives tomorrow?

They probably would have seen spina bifida at your anomaly scan. I’m not a doctor but your MCH is only over by 0.7.

It’s common to have anaemia at this stage. They will just put you on iron tablets and possibly infusions if needed.

Please don't take what those results say as bad, in my experience I've had so many come back 'out of range' yet when I e called midwife/gp there's no issues

Sorry to ask but how did you get access to the results? X

In northern Ireland the health care system has a new computer system with an app. It's not ideal as results get posted and you don't know if a doctor has seen them yet or not!!
