Hi everyone ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP? Are you based in Sheffield or around areas, due to give birth in the next few weeks/mid November and interested in contributing to the field of Child Psychotherapy? My name is Katy Gilardi, I'm an experienced counsellor now undertaking intensive psychoanalytic training.
An essential component of my training is the mother and baby observation, a process which will allow me to learn about how we develop from infancy and our earliest relationships. It consists of a weekly hour-long observation of a mother/parent and infant in their home setting from birth until around 12 months old. If you think that you might be interested in taking part please send me an email on [email protected] and I'll be very happy to have a chat and answer any questions you might have before we arrange an introductory meeting. I am enhanced DBS checked and am a mother myself. Observations are non-judgemental, confidential and respectful, and mothers who have taken part in the past (infant observations were first introduced as part of psychoanalytic training in the 50s) find the experience very insightful.
Thank you for reading and thank you in advance to anyone who might be able to help. Also best of luck with your pregnancies and the safe delivery of your precious bundles of joy.
Katy
