Yawning with a split lip

One thing I didn't anticipate with pregnancy is how many hundreds of times I would be yawning throughout the day. As a result, it's caused me to get a split lip in the corner of my mouth which keeps being reopened and doesn't have a chance to heal. Keep trying to slather on loads of lip balm and other ointments to get it to heal faster, but so far it's a lost cause 😑

Are you taking enough vitamins? Sores at the sides of your mouth can be a symptom of vitamin b deficiency. Otherwise slather on the blistex

You can force yourself to yawn with your mouth half shut of you concentrate. Well I can anyway 🤷 Just don't allow your jaw to open and let your mouth/lips sort of wibble a bit! Best way I can describe it!

I used to get keans (as my nana called them) when I was anemic in my early 20s and again in my first pregnancy - definitely worth getting your iron checked if you're not due routine bloods soon 👍🏼
Coconut oil really helps if you can't get to the chemist any time soon and have some in the cupboard ☺️

I am getting these cracks too, and planning to get my iron levels checked as it is indeed can be caused by anaemia, or other vitamin deficiency.
In the meantime I am using blistex, take my vitamins and try to drink even more water
