Is this my vanishing twin in my 12wk scan photo?

Scan is 12wk 3d. I have 1 very healthy baby

However at 10+6 I found out this is a non identical twin pregnancy.

Twin A sadly passed away at 7+2. No sign at my last scan of it being any smaller or absorbing since the scan before

The first scan had to show me them separately but in the most recent it looks like my wee twin A is in the background

Thank you xx

I think it is something else, like the cord or the placenta. I am not a sonographer though.

I had non identical vanishing twin too and the sonographer had too look for it separately to see them as they had their own little sac on the 12 week scan.

Congratulations for the healthy baby!

Thank you for replying @BeLemonQuoter that makes sense. I had to see them separately at the time so wasn't sure and my gran asked
Do you remember when you couldn't see it on the screen anymore? I thought it would have absorbed within 5 weeks, and by the 12th week (from what I read) but it was still there looking the same as before

I'd never heard of it before a few weeks ago
