Suddenly hungry at 8 weeks pregnant

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and haven’t had much of an appetite at all up until now, I haven’t been able to eat much of my dinner but the last couple of days I have managed to eat all of my dinner and definitely feel hungry at dinner time.

this has worried me a bit as I was really struggling and now not. I was really sick yesterday and have had nausea today.

has anyone else had no appetite and then suddenly been hungry?

I had a missed miscarriage last year so I do worry when things change, had a scan a few days ago and they said baby was perfect.

thanks

I've had ups and down with my appetite throughout pregnancy I'm 7mths now and baby is completely fine I completely understand your worries as someone who's been through losses too, of course I'm not a trained medical professional and if you get any other concerns then see someone but by the sounds of things you're completely fine x

Often pregnancy sickness is actually hunger (but its just not a simple fix to just eat and it will go away!). Your body needs fuel to grow a baby so the fact that you're more hungry than normal just means your baby is growing.

I remember being absolutely ravenous with my first around the 10 week mark. Id had awful sickness up to and beyond that point but the hunger was crazy. My 2nd not quite so bad but the sickness wasn't there that time.
