Has anyone here previously experienced giving birth in this hospital? I know there's the choice between the maternity ward or the birth centre which is a midwife-led unit.

I'm due in February 2025 and starting to think ahead about my childbirth options.

If you gave birth here, what were your experiences? Anything I should be aware of or consider?

I don’t live in Birmingham but a handful of my family do and they’ve all had positive experiences. I’ve also recently seen on the news that they’re running a study there testing babies for future conditions they may get (which can be managed if known about prior) which I would have loved to sign up for if I was in the area!
