Just fallen down the stairs

5 weeks pregnant and just fallen down the stairs on my back will my baby be okay? I've hurt my back arm and leg and terrified I've done some damage to my baby

I’d maybe go for a check up just so you feel less worried? Hope you feel better

Your pregnancy is about the same size as a grain of rice at this stage so there really isn't anything to check, you'll not have done any damage

I would assume baby is fine. It's a bit like chucking a midge wrapped in 30 layers of bubble wrap down the stairs! But if you are worried phone the local midwife base or EPU and ask them.

Your baby is so tiny and buried deep within your uterus and is well protected by you. However it sounds like you have hurt yourself, so pregnant or not I would consider getting checked out.

I'm ok bruised just so worried about causing harm to baby! Xx

I slipped off a plank of wood while crossing a stream while I was 5 months pregnant. Twisted my knee, bruised my back, gave myself a panic attack. But the baby was absolutely fine. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Your baby should be fine, they're very well cushioned in there.
If you get any cramping or bleeding etc go straight to a&e but otherwise, just rest up a bit - are you OK?
I fell down stairs at 15 weeks in my first pregnancy, the day before a flight.
Baby absolutely fine but I injured my coccyx and was in a lot of pain. You have my full sympathies

I fell over in the street and landed on my front at 37 weeks pregnant, everything was absolutely fine!

I am sure it will all be fine. Baby is so tiny and well cushioned that this won't have bumped them. A knock to the tummy once your uterus is protruding would be a worry bit this will have just been a bit of a jiggle around. Bit like going for a run.

You still need to get checked. My mum fractured 2 vertebrae falling down the stairs, they only x-ray her to check if she had broke a rib as she had a bit of tenderness on a rib. No rib injuries just the spine. The Drs were surprised

At 5 weeks they are basically just a little pea in your pelvic cage so should be very well protected
