Can anyone explain these urine test results to me?

I had a midwife appointment yesterday.

I find that my midwife is generally a bit slapdash and it seems to be a bit of a toss up as to whether the details actually get uploaded into my records on Badger Notes.

However, my urine sample test results have been recorded as "blood +++". However, there was no blood that I could see in my urine and no mention of it was made at the appointment itself. She did say I had a little bit of glucose in my urine, and asked what I had eaten that day (cereal, banana and 2 biscuits) and then said that probably explained it. But surely "blood +++" means there was significant amount of blood found? Why wouldn't she mention it?

She's also not recorded anything about baby's position, heart rate or engagement, despite us having conversations about each in the appointment itself.

It's incredibly unlikely that it means a 'significant amount of blood' was found. Do you have a number for the midwife that you could text and ask? Or a community midwife number you could call in the morning and ask? I wouldn't worry though, if there was anything seriously wrong that required further investigation she'd have told you.

How many weeks are you? Any discharge/show?
Any signs of a UTI?
It's certainly not significant bleeding or anything if that's what you're worried about. Urine dipsticks pick up what's called microscopic haematuria which literally means can be seen on a microscope. I wouldn't worry too much unless there's a UTI that needs to be treated
