Hello,

I have just found out I'm pregnant last night and already starting to feel anxious after an early MC in June! Overthinking everything like my tests aren't dark enough. Decided not to test today and I am going to try and wait until Saturday.

Anyone else roughly same as me?! How are you all feeling??

Congratulations. I’ve just had a faint positive and feeling like I can’t be excited though after miscarriage in June. Going to test again in morning and see if it is a true positive as I forgot about it and checked after 15mins 🤦‍♀️
I think the anxiety doesn’t go away until baby is actually in your arms.
if the testing helps you then continue but if it’s making you worse then try limit it and get an early scan if you can. Once you see baby you may feel a little less anxious x

I’m in the same situation too. I had a mmc at 9 weeks in July. Just found out yesterday I am pregnant again - only 12dpo. Trying to keep calm and not telling anyone apart from my husband until it’s sunk in and feels real!

Congratulations! I'm in a similar situation, line since yesterday at 9dpo, more visible today. I haven't even done a digital yet. I'm anxious as this is the first line since my MMC in feb.

LS888 · 18/10/2024 09:00

@Taviton congratulations! It’s all very daunting isn’t it. We haven’t done a digital yet either might wait until the weekend when I will be 14dpo.

Are you all going for early scans? I’m very undecided about that.

Congratulations to you all!
My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum and I was terrified during the first trimester of my second pregnancy, so I totally understand how you feel. Remember that the odds of having repeat miscarriages is 2% and that the most common thing is to go on to have a healthy pregnancy after a miscarriage.

Taviton · 18/10/2024 09:23

@LS888 I think I will go for scans if I get that far as if I have another MMC I don't like the idea of it being in there for weeks and me not knowing. Having said that, I can't imagine I'll cope well with attending scans! What are your thoughts?

LS888 · 18/10/2024 09:31

@Taviton I’m undecided at the moment. Won’t book one for now. With both of my mmc I had spotting but the baby had stopped growing a few weeks before. Last time I had a private scan as NHS didn’t call me back when spotting appeared and then the NHs wouldn’t accept that scan so had to have two nhs ones to confirm the miscarriage when I knew it was already happening. So just a bit traumatised from them now I think.

But after my first mmc the private scan gave me some reassurance whilst I waited for the 12 week one.

I will sit on the decision for a while and see how I feel by week 8ish. xx

Congratulations!! Just to share some hope, I miscarried in April at 7 weeks. I'm now almost 18 weeks with a beautiful, healthy baby boy 🥰 I was so anxious in the first trimester but kept reminding myself that past losses don't always mean I'll have more. Good luck love and keep your chin up! X

Taviton · 18/10/2024 15:31

@LS888 oh gosh that sounds awful, no wonder you feel a traumatized after that. Seeing how you feel in a few weeks sounds very sensible.
I had spotting with my MMC too, which prompted the scan. I'd had two normal scans at 6 and 8.5 weeks before it too so I won't get much reassurance from scans this time. I'm not going to book anything yet but if I get to 5 weeks I'll start looking at booking one for 7/8weeks ish x

LS888 · 18/10/2024 15:46

@Taviton I also had some early spotting/implantation bleeding when I had my daughter. So think it’s just a general symptom of mine when pregnant. I’ve actually had a bit of spotting today. But I’m only 12dpo so could be linked to implantation, I have a short luteal phase too so not sure if that’s all linked. I think your reasoning sounds good- getting an early scan when you get past a certain number of weeks. Scans and spotting just bring me so much anxiety but I’m trying to stay calm.

Taviton · 19/10/2024 12:04

@LS888 it's exactly the time to get some implantation spotting and reassuring that you've had it in successful pregnancies too but I understand it's worrying nonetheless. How are you doing today?x

LS888 · 19/10/2024 13:44

@Taviton thankfully no spotting overnight or today. I put a pad on last night just in case and nothing. So fingers crossed that was it and nothing to worry about! How are you doing today? I’ve taken a test each morning and looking more like a strong positive now. Think I might take my digital tomorrow morning!

Taviton · 19/10/2024 22:19

@LS888 that great that it's stopped and your tests are dark! Must have been implantation!
I did my digital this morning and it was great to see the 'pregnant', i'm going to hold off further testing and do a dates one next week when it should be 2-3. I logged it on my flo app which says i'm only 3weeks 3 days as today I ovulated slightly early which feels so ridiculously early!
