Hi,

Going to contact GP tomorrow and from what I can tell this should hopefully not be a big deal, but today went to toilet and it was very bloody, bright red fresh blood. I checked and definitely backside. This has happened when passing stool this evening too.

Anyone experience such a thing?

Yep. Welcome to the second trimester - haemorrhoids! They're such a pain (literally). Not much you can do other than eat a good diet and try to keep your bowels moving regular so you're not constipated. For some they're an inconvenience, others they become very painful. If the latter happens contact your GP.

Thanks for reassurance. Going to contact doc tomorrow to be safe x

Agree with @SErunner sounds like good old haemorrhoids! But yes good idea better to be safe than sorry.

I got them throughout all my pregnancies and had blood after wiping! Scary! Was given stuff to drink to help constipation and anusol suppositories. I'm 37 weeks and at around 35 weeks they were so painful but the suppositories helped. I still have them poking out but not causing pain thankfully. Sorry TMI.

But yeh the blood happened when constipated! Not nice at all.

All the best!!

I had this often in my first pregnancy and the amount of blood was frightening at times! Plus it's like passing glass! You might be able to get prescribed a stool softener to help.

I have had this for over 10 years now, the doctor said it was piles or hemmoroids prescribed cream and that was it. I still bleed on and off, maybe every 3-6months.
I had it in my last pregnancy too. Do get it checked out though, hopefully yours resolves.
