I'm only 4.5 weeks and already feeling so so nauseous 😭. I didn't have hyperemesis with my first, but I did have severe, debilitating nausea for the first 20 weeks and I'm feeling really anxious about having the same especially with a toddler in the mix. Did anything work for you??

I struggled with nausea (but not vomiting) and used cyclizine in my first pregnancy. It allowed me to function even if it didn't get rid of it completely.
As well as the usual - eating regularly, sipping cold water, lots of dry carbs

Congratulations on your pregnancy OP! The nausea can be so debilitating. I was like you, no sickness but couldn't get out of bed/barely ate due to nausea. Was signed off work for weeks until things improved half way into second trimester. Like PP I was also prescribed cyclizine which took about a week to get used to but definitely took the edge off the nausea so I could function slightly better. I did have a small battle with GP to get it, they initially said no to meds as I wasn't vomiting and actually said "it's a sign of a healthy pregnancy"...I didn't appreciate this comment at all after 3 previous miscarriages. After explaining this, and really pressing how much it was impacting my ability to function, they agreed.

I had hyperemesis. My advice is - go to your GP and get anti-sickness medication. There are lots of different ones, and they don't all work for all people, so if the first one doesn't seem to help/help much, go back and ask for another.

In my case Cyclizine did absolutely nothing at all, no impact on my sickness. Metoclopramide was very helpful.

You have my sympathy - weeks of unrelenting nausea is soul-sapping.

Thank you all! And sorry to here you all suffered too! I'll definitely go to the Dr for cyclizine sooner this time and insist on changing meds if it doesn't work!
