Hi all,
went for an early scan today, should be 8 weeks 3 days and booked a private scan, this was external and the sonographer could only find the sac and said it’s measuring at 6 weeks 1 day. I’ve to go back in 2 weeks for another scan and re take pregnancy tests this week and next, I took one when we got home and it’s still showing as 3+ on clear blue. Really looking for any advice people have on this situation.

Do you have long or irregular cycles? Were you tracking ovulation?

Sorry you're going through this

So my first day of my last period was 18th August, I then ovulated on the 27th August and tested positive with clear blue on the 14th September showing 1-2, then I got my 2-3 on 21st September and then 3+ on the 28th September. My cycle is normally 28/30 days

Are you certain of the day you ovulated? (Ie ivf or physically testing)
Or is that date from an online app like Flo?

It is possible to have a long cycle and ovulate late (I did and have consistently measured 10-12 days behind what LMP would put me at since my first scan).

But if you know your exact date of ovulation and you're measuring 2 weeks behind, then that's different.

Also, at my 6+1 early scan, I did see a yolk sac, fetal pole etc and a heartbeat, not just a gestational sac - It does take longer than that for some people to see anything but I think you should mentally prepare for all possible outcomes here.

Sending lots of good luck your way

I can’t be 100% as it was using ovulation tests, it was also an external scan which I’m hoping is why we couldn’t see anything other than the sac. I am fully hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
