Second pregnancy - when did you first feel any movements?

First pregnancy I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel anything till 23/24 weeks. Even then it was only ever very faint and I struggled with reduced/ no movements all the way through my pregnancy.

This time round, I'm currently 16+4 and have been told the placenta is at the back this time! I'm so excited to feel proper movements and for my husband to actually be able to feel kicks too (not possible in my first pregnancy).

I know it's still early days and I'm not concerned or anything like that, just getting impatient and wondering when did everyone else first feel movements in their second pregnancy?

I'm 18+5 weeks now and for the last week ive felt flutters daily at some point. Before I thought I could feel something but wasn't sure. Like you, I had an anterior placenta first time round and was almost 21 wks before I felt so much as a flutter!

I think it was around 18 weeks with my second, but id had lots of twinges before that, which could have been baby, or just muscles being stretched.

My first was more like 19/20 weeks.

I was like you too, anterior and over the cervix for my first and didn’t feel movements until 21ish weeks.

This time I’m only 13 weeks but the sonographer at the 12 week scan said it looked to be posterior.

Felt flutters at 12 weeks with my second

Posterior placenta both times - 19 weeks with DS and now 17 weeks very lightly with this one but now I’m 19 weeks, definite movement 2 or 3 times a day. If I feel her in the morning and at night at least once, I’m happy :)

Thank you for the replies - it sounds like it could happen any day now, so exciting!
