Is it completely safe to still do constant house work, walking including a few steep hills!
And also to still pick up my 15 month old whilst early stages of pregnancy?

Yes! I ran through my whole pregnancy and had a horse that I rode and mucked out the whole way through too.

rainbow616 · 15/10/2024 12:50

Totally safe to do all those things. Congratulations 😊

Thank you! So it's not going to do any harm at all? I know it sounds silly but I question everything 🙈

If you are used to doing it, you should be able to keep going. I cycled with my older child in a bike seat when pregnant with my second.

BlueChampagne · 15/10/2024 13:06

Have never done constant housework though 😆

howluckyami25 · 15/10/2024 13:07

Haha by constant housework I mean tidying up after a 5 and one year old 😂😂 obviously you can't leave it 😂 it's got to be done but I get a little paranoid in case it's too much etc xx

It's all fine but do listen to your body and if you're feeling very tired have a rest or go to bed early.
Also be careful of your back and hips, lift from the knees etc

WonderingAboutBabies · 15/10/2024 15:08

Absolutely, carry on as you are within reason! If you get tired, give yourself a break. As the bump grows, make sure you keep good posture with walking and lifting!

strawberry11 · 15/10/2024 16:14

I have a 3 year old who I still carry around, but I make sure I listen to my body and when it feels too much I put him down - despite his complaints haha. I couldn't cut him off from being picked up and cuddled for 9 months! And definitely still doing the house work and lots of walking, commuting to work etc... and I'm 20 weeks.

teatoast8 · 15/10/2024 16:15

Yeah totally fine 🙂 x

sel2223 · 15/10/2024 19:34

Yes but it's tough isn't it!

i'm 16+4 now, running around after my 4 year old (and my husband truth be told), moving house soon so packing up boxes and having a clear out, running my own business in-between.

I'm knackered!

howluckyami25 · 16/10/2024 16:23

Thank you all so much for your comments and congratulations to those who are also pregnant !!
I think I'm still in shock I've tested every day 🙈
