Protein in urine - should I be worried?

My midwife found protein in my urine sample. It's being sent off for testing. They said not to worry, as I'm not exhibiting any other symptoms of pre-eclampsia.
Has anyone else had this experience? What happened in the end?

Should I be worried?
Is there anything I should be doing/looking out for?

Thanks!

are you drinking enough? I had it a few times with my eldest....but it never came to anything. The midwife put it down to not drinking enough - apparently dehydration can cause it. I was really bad a drinking enough

I had protein in my urine on and off in my first pregnancy from about 24 weeks.

It started getting more consistent after 30 weeks and there were other symptoms of pre-eclampsia such as high BP (again on and off), swelling to my face and limbs (gradually got worse), headaches from around 35 weeks.

At 37 weeks I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and admitted to hospital. DD1 was born at 38 weeks, small but perfectly healthy.
