Early pregnancy bleeding confusion

I came off the pill at the beginning of September. About a week later I had some spotting then a few days later unprotected sex. I hadn't started tracking ovulation etc. yet. At the beginning of September I had what I assumed was a period, with heavy bleeding for a few days. The following week (last week) I noticed my breasts were really tender. A couple of days ago I had grey-ish colour discharge and some cramps. For the last two days I've felt nauseous, especially in the night and was convinced there was a stomach bug about to hit us but kept quiet not to scare my husband. I bought a test today, only to be shocked by a very strong positive line.
I had an early missed miscarriage before my first son but we were ttc so it was easier to work out when/what had happened. I'm just a big confused now. Is it possible I ovulated really soon after stopping the pill, maybe when I had the initial spotting? Then we conceived a few days later but it didn't stick and the bleed was a miscarriage? I think the pregnancy symptoms are confusing me too, is it normal for them to begin after a miscarriage?

I got pregnant with my son two weeks after coming off the pill (having been on it for 16 years). So definitely possible. Congratulations! X

These are my tests.. I think the line is getting stronger. I stopped bleeding 10 days ago, would that be normal to still be getting such a strong line. I should probably call the doctors but will they do anything at this stage?

That's a strong line and looks like it's getting stronger. I'd guess you got pregnant from the mid sept sex, and the bleed you thought was a period was a subchorionic haemorrhage or something like that rather than a miscarriage or period. But I'd contact your doctor and they'll sort a dating scan. You're only going to be a couple of weeks out though either way if you were on the pill until the start of sept.

I had what looked like a full on period with dd2. It can happen

Thanks both for the replies. I'll give the doctor a call and see what they say. I'm such an overthinker I worry about wasting their time if it's nothing, but also want to know because if everything is okay I want to be happy and hopefully a bit less stressed 😩
