Scan measurements

My 20 week scan is next week but today I had an impromptu scan at the early pregnancy unit today - simply because I had been seen there earlier in the pregnancy and they had scheduled a final check in.

They took some measurements which showed the femur length at 18w4 and head and abdominal circumference both at 19w.

I am 18w 5 today.

I am not worried about not being bang on 18w 5 as the Crown Rump Length has consistently measured 3 days ahead at every scan (we have had to have a few due to medical reasons).

But is it anything to worry about that the femur length is 3 days behind the other measurements?

I know I’ll be able to find out more at my scan in a week but if anyone has had similar it would be interesting to know as my mind has started whirring…Thanks!

The scan measurements are estimations, I was on monthly scans due to IVF/BMI/age pregnancy.
I had numerous private and NHS scans and the baby’s femur was measuring small every time. Each scan varied hugely from 8 to 43 percentile!
After each scan I would come home and cry as I was so afraid the baby’s leg would be small.
Baby is now 7 months and was born with average length legs, in fact people have commented how long they look.
Please dont worry, if there is major concern about any of the measurements you would be contacted immediately.
Good luck x
