How do I politely ask family and friends to not post anything about our pregnancy or baby when she arrives.
I just find it a really awkward conversation to have. Help 🥺

Has anyone else been in the same position?

Let everyone know you won't be posting/using social media for your chil, and ask if they can help you to maintain your child's privacy by not sharing any images either.

Consistent and firm engagement on this is the key - same rule for everyone with no exceptions, including yourselves.

Good on you protecting your child and going against the grain. Far more important things than getting likes on social media.

Unfortunately the older generation have a little bit of trouble understanding some of the time, but it was my own mother's sending me pictures of grandchildren or great nieces or nephews of her friends friends which I had on my phone which made me wise up to how if you don't have these rules in place, your children's privacy can be eroded.

Good luck with your pregnancy and arrival of little one!

Of course you can tell them! My mum is a Facebook warrior and posts everything. But always asks me and my sister before she posts about our life & kids/pregnancy.
