(Potential) HG misery

I’m around 7 and a half weeks and the vomiting started at week 6. Yesterday, I threw up 17 times and could not keep even water down. My midwife said if it doesn’t improve by today then to call triage. Well, I was sick another 5-6 times this morning so I called and was told to come into hospital. My pee was tested and apparently I wasn’t dehydrated, even though this was my 2nd pee of the day at around 2pm and I struggled to get much out. The doctor has prescribed cyclizine and ondansetron but told me this sickness is normal.

This is my first pregnancy, but I don’t see how this is a normal level of sickness :( I feel so miserable. It feels like nobody understands and/or takes it seriously, and that I’m being dramatic. I’m normally up at 6am walking everyday and I can’t even shower/leave the house atm, let alone work.

Just looking for some reassurance I guess.

I was all on ondanestron for two pregnancies and it was the only thing that kept me out of hospital. I still threw up but a more manageable amount. It's horrendous but you will get through it. I ended up on a drip overnight twice the first time round til they sorted my drugs out and was fine with just the ondanestron the second time. So hopefully it will work for you. Hope you're ok.
