Hey guys,

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and on three separate occasions, I have woken I have woken in the night with my big toes on right foot compleltlty numb. All I have to do is give it a quick massage and the feeling returns.

Do you think its pregnancy and sleeping position causing this? I have terrible health anxiety and go to worse case scenario. I have called my midwife who said its probably increased blood flow, circulation and pregnancy and to only worry if the feeling does not go away. But I find it odd it's the same toe!

Thanks in advance!

A little different but I've found that if I end up lying on my back in my sleep (17 weeks pregnant), I wake up with numb thighs!!!! Very bizarre! I have struggled with sciatica so I think it's something to do with the sciatic nerve. It can be scary when it's happening for the first time! Maybe ask your midwife OP, just for some reassurance x

I get a lot of cramp in my feet/toes/legs and have in both my pregnancies and always same leg/toe. It's a common symptom to get cramp so I guess it's similar to that. I've been trying magnesium spray for cramp which seems to be helping so might be worth a try.

Probably some nerve being pressed. In my first pregnancy I kept waking up with a completely numb ring finger!
