Sick leave during pregnancy

Hi all
I am currently pregnant and work for the NHS. I have recently had to be signed off from work by my GP for pregnancy related illness. This timeframe unfortunately include 2 weeks of the 17-25 week Maternity Pay Calculation period. I recieve full pay when I am sick but I was just wondering if anyone else had been in a similar situation and recieved less maternity pay. I have been in touch with payroll but they haven't been able to help so far.
Thanks in advance ☺️.

Hi OP, I work in payroll (not NHS but similar emergency service) and no, if your sickness is within the full pay period this wouldn’t affect your qualifying weeks and maternity pay. We in payroll don’t usually even get notified unless you hit sick half pay. Hope this helps x

It would only affect your maternity pay if you got paid a lower wage during sick leave in those weeks

@dementedpixie I get paid the same so hopefully it shouldn't affect this 😊
