Hi all I’m a first time mum, on my 12 weeks scan your supposed to get a few checks done to make sure baby is okay but u couldn’t have any of those checks as the baby was sitting far into my pelvic and tucked in, again on my 20 week scan I was supposed to have my checks then and my gender but I wasn’t able to be told anything as again the baby sits so far into my pelvic and was curled into a ball we tried a lot of methods to move the baby but again nothing worked and the baby just wasn’t budging, I have been booked into a rescan I’m just worried is it a bad thing the baby sitting low into my pelvic and how can I encourage the baby to move up and to stop laying curled up into a ball
any advice would be appreciated

Not a bad thing, baby is snuggled up. Were they able to pick up baby's heartbeat? Thats all that really matters. Remember scans are an advanced invention and do not dictate whether the natural positions that babies take up in the womb are normal or not. I had to back a couple of times for rescans and all was totally fine. I actually don't like the way some sonographer think they can start pressing around hard, or getting you to jump up and down. I'd prefer to just go back another time.

I had the exact same, couldn't scan brain or anything. I'm now 22 weeks and she's moved up and all the checks were absolutely fine. Good luck

How was your re scan? I’ve just had my 20 week scan today and they were unable to see everything due to baby being curled up tight in a ball as well. Did anything work for you when you went back? I need some inspiration!
