I have just created this account to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
I found out I was pregnant (5 weeks 2 days from first day of last period). I then went on holiday and on 2nd October experienced bad period pains and lower back pain, a 'normal' period and some clots, including one clot which was very unusual and something I hadn't seen before. I am no longer bleeding at all and feel perfectly normal in myself. I assumed a miscarriage, however I would now be 7 weeks 5 days.
I had a scan on Monday (three days ago) and they said there is nothing in the womb however as they can't see the pregnancy and i am testing positive i need bloods doing to rule out ectopic.
My first bloods were - 435 and my second bloods were 428 (48 hours later) which I have been told is worrying as with a miscarriage they should drop a lot more than this and indicates ectopic.
I had an emergency scan today and again was told it's a 'pregnancy of unknown location' as they can't see anything.
I need to go back to the hospital tomorrow for more bloods.
I was just wondering if anyone had something similar to the above - and whether this can be 'normal' to happen with my HCG levels only dropping by 7 in 48 hours with a miscarriage?
I understand I am in the best hands and being looked after thoroughly, but it's more to calm some of my anxieties as this is my first pregnancy and I feel very confused and anxious about the whole situation.
