Worrying about scan at epau

I have a scan tomorrow at epau after going in on Monday with slight spotting, this does seem to have stopped. An internal examination showed cervix was closed, long and looked healthy. Spotting seemed to have come from the vagina. This is a ivf pregnancy, I did have a scan on the 30th, saw a little baby and a strong heartbeat.
Feeling anxious.

If you saw a heartbeat, that already increases likelihood everything will progress. I had spotting at 6 weeks and I’m currently 41 weeks!

@Peonies12 I just want everything to continue being ok. Scary when you see that spotting. Did you ever have a cause for yours?

I spotted in 2 of my four pregnancies and everything was alright. They never found a cause for the bleeding. My friend has recently had a miscarriage ( blighted ovum, so there was never an embryo) and had spotted which is why she had an early scan. But again they said they couldn't find a cause for it and it wasn't linked to the miscarriage. I think it can just be one of those things. If it's light in volume and either brown or pink it's probably old blood.

I had this (IVF pregnancy) and all was fine. Are you on pessaries? I think that might have been the cause of my bleeding.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 10/10/2024 14:58

@GroovyChick87 it seemed to be just on the one day and was light, was a bit pink/brown. I have had a scan and saw a little baby with a good strong heartbeat.

Yes, it was a small subchorionic hematoma. It had gone by 12 weeks.

@Purpleteapotter I am on pessaries, I was doing them at the front, but think there was some irritation so swapped to the back.

@Peonies12 something was mentioned about a possible etropician.

I had quite strong cramps and some bleeding when I was about 6 ish weeks I think it was and everything was fine - currently 34 weeks! Fingers crossed for you

Rainbowsunshine81 · 10/10/2024 15:47

@Deliberationdivinationdesperation I haven't had those, some uncomfortable sensations. I'm really hoping everything will be ok. Thank you.

Try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done but if you've seen a heartbeat then that's a really good sign x

@GroovyChick87 really trying not to. That's what I was told, seeing a heartbeat is really good. X

Hi, I had my scan this morning and little baby is fine with a lovely heartbeat 💓 when on progesterone can make you spot and I might have an ectropian. Xx
