Left sided twinges/pain

Hi all, I am 5½ weeks pregnant and yesterday started feeling some twinges on my left side only, similar to ovulation pain but was on and off throughout the day. I phoned my EPAU and the midwife said if it was only twinges not severe pain and I wasn't bleeding (which I'm not) she wasn't concerned about ectopic. Has anyone experienced similar and everything was okay? Thanks x

I’ve had cramps and twinges all through first trimester in this pregnancy.

Have they been one sided?

I'm 7 +3 weeks and I've had right sided pain on and off throughout. No bleeding (touch wood), have been told it's just growing/stretching/ligament pains.

Also if it's the side you ovulated on (mine is) it could be the corpus luteum cyst, which controls the hormones before the placenta takes over.

Try not to worry (I say this having been worrying myself 😆)

Wishing you a lovely pregnancy x

Sorry I’m struggling to remember, I’m 41 weeks now!

I had some right sided pain (side I ovulated on) last week at 6 weeks, no bleeding but it was more than twinges so I had a scan to rule out ectopic and all was fine (they found twins though, so perhaps the pain was just everything stretching twice as much!).

Update - I went for a transvaginal scan on Friday and they could see the yoc sac and said everything is where it should be and no concerns for ectopic. I've to go back in 2 weeks the sonographer said we should be able to see the heartbeat then.
