Sudden Wheat Intolerance at 29 weeks - questions needing answers!?!

Dear all, I am now 29 weeks pregnant with ds3. About a month ago I starting realising that when I ate bread it blew me up and gave me the most awful smelling wind. As time went on, having tried to stop eating bread, I started realising that the wind and the uncomfortable feeling was happening more and more often. I have now cut out ALL wheat and gluten to see what happens, and I haven't had the feeling at all. So I am assuming that this means that I have suddenly developed an intolerance to wheat or gluten - not sure of the difference to me.

My question is - does this mean the baby is going to have problems and is that why its affecting me or is it just a me thing?

My second question is - will it go away do we think when I have the baby?

Please help - I am worried and not remotely enjoying not being able to eat wheat - its horrific what actually contains wheat - even smarties!!!! Thats how bad it is now - any wheat at all sets me off!

Hmmm this page suggests pregnancy can bring on coeliac disease. I don't think this means the baby will have this problem - it does mean you may have coeliac disease, which can be genetic, so you should probably avoid giving your baby wheat before 6 months, and maybe before a year.

I don't know whether it will go away.
