Hi

I'm currently pregnant with my second child, I'm only 6 weeks.

I expected my symptoms to be the same as the first time round but it's been so different. First time I had no sickness and not really any symptoms that I was pregnant. I had a girl

This time round I feel so sick, I'm not being sick I just feel it. So much so i almost made myself be sick in the hopes it would make me feel a bit better. I have a bad fear of being sick so I feel like that makes it all so much worse. I can barely lift my head off my pillow.

Did anyone else experience this and when did the nausea subside for you? I was so expecting to feel the same as I did the first time for some reason and I just don't

3 girls - nausea all the way through each of them.

Luckily it didn't progress to the thing Kate Middleton had, but it was dreadful.

I would eat something dry - crisps / crossaint / toast.

Drink something fizzy - sparkling water / coke - it seemed to clear the "sick" from my throat by making me burp.

Sorry if tmi but it helped me.

Actually nausea can be worse than just throwing up and getting on with your day! X

Nearly 10 weeks and I have had exact the same as you since 6 weeks, I find eating plain foods does help, it's just a struggle to eat when you feel this nauseous! I have tried to get through to the doctors for it this morning but they said we cant help you, fill in a form to book online, and there's no appointments online!

Hoping it subsides for you lovely, it's really tough X

I was very similar. First pregnancy mild nausea but manageable. Expected similar second time around but it was completely different. Horrific nausea and sickness (I have emetaphobia too) and was admitted to hospital several times and diagnosed with HG. It seemed to go on forever but lifted around 16 weeks. My second pregnancy was just harder throughout though. I don't know if it's relevant (some doctors suggest it might be) but my first pregnancy was a girl and my second a boy. Totally worth it though! Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck on pushing through. You can do this!

Same here 🫠 18 weeks and taking 1 anti sickness a day still, another girl on the way so no difference with gender, thought I'd feel a bit better by now 😂😂😂

I have 2 girls and was exactly the same, first pregnancy was a dream no symptoms at all I felt amazing, second I had nausea and sickness from 4 to 18 weeks it was horrible.
Speak to your gp/midwife, you don't have to just suffer there are things that can help. Try and eat little and often, i know it's so difficult to manage when you have another to look after too. I found that the minute I started getting hungry the nausea kicked in so I literally couldn't eat by that point. Unfortunately I found it got much worse before it got better, it peaked around 10-13 weeks for me then gradually settled down before stopping about 18 weeks.

I had the same. First pregnancy was fairly
easy. Minimal nausea, mild cramping in 8th month. I’m currently 6m pregnant and I’ve been exhausted, really bad ligament pain and bad leg cramps from just walking about! It’s been awful. I feel like I’ve been pregnant for about 10years.

I've had 2 full term pregnancies, first one I had nausea but was able to work and carry on very much on as normal. Second, I was signed off work by GP for 7-8ish weeks during first/second trimester as I was completely bed bound with nausea and on medication. First pregnancy was DS and assumed this time round might be a girl due to very different symptoms... turns out it's actually our DS2 and he'll be arriving any day now!

Second pregnancy (both girls) I'm currently 15 and a half weeks.
I have struggled so much more this time round with sickness/ nausea and tiredness

I’m only 4+6 with dc3 and feeling horrendous. I had no sickness at all with dc1 (boy) then bad sickness with dc2 (girl) from 6 weeks. I didn’t vomit - I just had awful all day nausea. Nothing helped except eating toast and I put on loads of weight.

Im dreading it this time as symptoms have started so much earlier.

My first pregnancy was a breeze, no sickness at all (boy), my second pregnancy the first trimester was like I had an ongoing hangover (boy) and this pregnancy I also felt incredibly sick in the first trimester and I'm having a girl. In this pregnancy and my last one the nausea had subsided by 12 weeks, but nothing helped even though I was prescribed anti sickness so I just had to ride it out.
