Can I get a flu jab whilst I have Covid? 16 weeks pregnant

Just what the title says really. I tested positive for Covid this morning after a horrible night of feeling poorly. Don't have a temp or anything, but do have a cough and bad head. I have a flu jab booked in for Thursday morning as I'm pregnant. Can I still get this? Or do I need to call to rearrange?

Might sound like a stupid question but I'm 28 and in good health, never had a flu jab before!

I don't think they will do it while you have Covid, you can rebook, or go to a pharmacy that is giving flu jabs once you feel better.

No.
Get better and then go for your jab

No they i don't think they will. It could provoke an unusual reaction to the vaccine. Wait until you're better.

PS Do you really have flu? When I've had proper flu, I've not been able to leave the bed.

OP says they have Covid, not flu.

It might be different because you're pregnant OP but they asked when I went to get mine if I'd had a fever, that was it. They didn't care I was getting over a cold.

I think the best way is to rearrange it and have it done you feel better. I’m booking mine this week I put it off because I was not feeling well. Due to bad experience previously when I had a cold and the pharmacist told me it was okay to have it while having a cold and it nearly killed me. So now i always wait to make sure I’m 💯 well before having it done. As I get it done every year due to my job.

I have a cough and bad head! I wouldnt say I have flu. But I did test positive this morning (only reason I tested was because I knew I was getting the jab on Thursday and I've had Covid before so figured it was that, my partner has it too)! I figure if I'm positive they wouldn't give me the jab anyway regardless if I have flu symptoms or not. Just feels like a cold, cough, headache etc!

Thanks guys I'll reschedule :)

You can still have it but shouldn’t.

You won’t know if any reaction is the vaccine or covid and you risk passing it on to the nurse who is giving you the vaccination.

No you can't

They ask if you're feeling ill, have a cough or have a fever.

If you answer yes to any of these questions you cannot have the jab.
