Period after d&c how long

Hi all I had a second d&c six weeks on Wednesday and I still don't have a period keep thinking I'm getting it then nothing any idea? My last d&c I got period and had a daughter after it and my first pregnancy since my daughter ended up in a mmc. Any idea when I might expect my period ?

Hi there, so sorry for your loss. After my D@C it did take around six weeks. Think that's about average but can be a shorter or longer time. I would give it another four weeks and then pop along to see doc.

Sorry to hear about your MMC. I was almost 7 weeks before getting mine and even then it was hardly a period. It was light light pink with one day of slightly heavier bleeding. It only really lasted two days. I was freaking out there was something wrong as I kept googling and reading about ashermans but I fell pregnant 3 cycles later and I'm now 17 wks. Hope it arrives soon

Hi OP, I had D&C on 8th July and didn’t have my period till 9th September. Everyone’s different, sometimes your body just takes a little while longer to recover. Hope your period arrives soon x

Hi thanks @Henski I bought a pregnancy test today to make sure I'm negative read some things on Google about a failed d&c to remove fetus gave me an awful fright

@ImHopeful2023 It took me about 6.5 weeks to test negative then took a week for me to ovulate and then another two weeks till I got my period. My HCG level was just taking its sweet time to go down. Do you know if you have ovulated ? Maybe your body is getting ready to do that?

I'm pretty sure I did ovulate but I'm really starting to doubt myself think I'm over stressing now that they scared me or something @Henski
