38+2 labour starting??

Hi, I’m 38+2 weeks, second child, had my first at 36 weeks naturally no known cause. The past couple of days I’ve felt not too great, the past few weeks I haven’t been ‘well’ but just plodding on. Lastnight I was up and down with lower back pain, which seemed to have eased off this morning. Through the day today, I’ve had random stomach cramps, not regular, but they’re there, a few loose bowel movements (sorry!) and just feeling the need to lie down and relax. Which is totally not like myself, I’m always feeling the need to be doing something and I don’t feel like I’ve fulfilled my day unless I have been busy. Does this sound like labour starting? I know there’s no definite, but interested to hear other peoples stories 😊

I'd say lower back pain and random cramps are the norm at this point (I had mine at 39+4 and 38+2). That's not to say it's not labour starting to appear, but also it might be another week yet. Just stay hydrated and keep eating little and often. Best of luck!
