Am I miscarrying?

On the 23/09/24, I would have been 5 weeks pregnant. I experienced heavy bleeding 15 minutes after I had sex. I put a pad on overnight to find it was just spotting and I hadn't filled the pad like I thought I would. The following day I had my cervix looked at and the doctor said my cervix were closed and I had no active bleeding. After 3 days the spotting stopped and then 2 days later the spotting started again. I booked to have a private scan on the 29/09/24 to get an inconclusive result. They don't know whether I'm earlier than expected or having a miscarriage. Along that scan they saw gestation sac, yolk sac and fetal pole. They also saw a hemorrhage above the gestation sac. The 30/09/24 I rang my doctors to see if they could refer me to epu for blood tests to see if my hcgs were still rising (as its the last resort I could have thought of to see if my pregnancy is still progessing). I managed to get into epu for a transvaginal scan the next day (02/10/24) for them to say either its still to early and the dates are wrong or baby stopped growing between weeks 4 and 5. So I could possibly be experiencing a missed miscarriage. I go back next week (09/10/24) for another transvaginal scan to then have everything decided.

So in conclusion I ask if anyone has ever experienced this themselves and everything worked out okay? I've been pregnant twice before and both babies were born happy and healthy... this is my first time experiencing this and I'm just feeling so lost as I don't really know what's happening. I also may add that I am still spotting dark brown and sometimes there is like flaky parts in the toilet but no clots or big bleeds. I also haven't experienced any cramping or pain.
Thank you for taking your time to read my post.

I know it’s the hardest thing in the world but really all you can do is wait and see. Plenty of women bleed during pregnancy and all is fine, plenty of women also have miscarriages. I really hope you’re in the first category! It is very early to pick up anything on a scan.
