Hi,

I did an ovulution test on 15th and it was as dark as control line. Next day i did another and it was negative.

I have pcos and irregular periods.if i go by these tests i am 16 dpo and there is no sign of af/bfp.

Normally i have heard that luteal phase is between 14 to 17 days.
Is this true? And i if i Don't have my af tomorrow then is it possible that ovulution did not occur on 16th.

Your luteal phase can be any length of days - mine is 12/13 - but there’s a big variation (people with pcos may have longer cycles for example). Your body can get ready to ovulate and then not, either delaying it or not ovulating at all that month (for most women they’ll have a month each year with no ovulation). So it could be you didn’t actually ovulate and it’s just a cycle with no ovulation and therefore it’ll be longer, or you had delayed ovulation. There’s not really any way of knowing if you didn’t keep testing for ovulation/basal body temping.
