Had a perfect abdominal ultrasound at 11am today measuring 10+5 which is same growth as expected. Heartbeat and wonderful wriggly baby.

Got home at 2pm today. Gush of blood and I confirmed that when I went to the toilet. It's now subsided mostly.

Still stressed. How unfair would it be to have a great ultrasound and mc hours later?

I put a pad on and it has one drop.

Have you called doc? Get an examination and check if the heartbeat? Or do you prefer to wait and see?

I bled from 13 weeks all the way through, was a polyps on my cervix. I hope yours is similar.

I had this a few years ago with my first.
They got me back in for a scan at the epu the following day. All was well, they just put it down to the scan dislodging an old SCH. (I had Internal and external)
Hope this helps a bit x

I had a perfectly healthy scan at 10+5 with baby waving and strong heartbeat for baby to then die at 10+6. It's evil but it happens unfortunately.

So far what you have doesn't look enough to be a miscarriage, nowhere near what came out when I had mine but please do monitor the bleeding if it continues. Colour of it etc and speak to a professional. Hopefully nothing to worry about!

It's stopped entirely. From looking online it seems surprisingly common for bleeds even after abdominal ultrasounds so fingers crossed. A previous ultrasound mentioned a pooling in uterus so hopefully it's just resolving itself.

I think I might give EPU a call tomorrow but know it's highly unlikely they'll bring me in. I have a holiday on Thursday for 10 days but don't feel I'll enjoy it.

Hi, I had bleeding the same day as my 12 week scan with my previous pregnancy. The scan was fine, started bleeding that evening and spotted for a few days. They got me in for another scan when it didn't stop after 24 hours and all was fine and I went on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby. I hope your experience is the same. If you call EPU and explain what's happened, that you're anxious and have a holiday coming up they may be able to scan you. Alternatively, could you book a private scan for peace of mind? Hope all is well x

I developed bleeding at 10 weeks. I called out of hours who said to monitor it every hour to see if it was getting worse. It eased off and I phoned the epu in the morning. They could have got me in for a scan that day but I didn't have childcare so I booked one for the day after.
In the meantime it went heavy with clots using 3 pads in an afternoon and I attended a and E where they took some bloods to measure my HCG and haemoglobin. When I went to the epu the next day they did a scan but unfortunately for me they couldn't see signs of pregnancy so I lost it the evening before. They remeasured my HCG and in the 18h between bloods my HCG had halved. Unlike you I hadn't had any previous scans and it's likely the pregnancy had ended prior to 10 weeks.

Give your epu a call. I know the care can vary from hospital to hospital but I had good care from them. Bleeding might be a bad sign but equally it can be completely normal too. Right now you are in limbo and the way out of limbo is reaching out to the epu. Good luck!
