8 weeks and spotting

A couple of hours ago my DH and I had sex and afterwards I had some mild cramping for about 5 minutes and when I went to the toilet I had some bright red blood when I wiped. It appears to have completely stopped now and was only when I wiped. Has anyone else had this and all was ok?

EPU have told me to just keep monitoring it for the time being... I must admit I am really anxious still as it's been a long road getting pregnant.

Please try not to worry, this happened to me after having sex. The cramping, sore feeling and spotting. It stopped the next morning and I felt fine. They said it’s to do with the cervix changing so much in the first weeks of pregnancy and it is sensitive but doesn’t cause harm to the baby. The next time I had sex it was more gentle and not as deep and there wasn’t any bleeding.
It’s always a good idea to check with the Dr. at least to put your mind at ease if you’re worried.

My midwife told me that some blood after sex is considered normal as it can 'dislodge' something! Keep an eye on it and if you have any pain or any more blood I'd call them back!
