What were your signs of labour?

My due date is tomorrow and I had a sweep yesterday. Was told my cervix is really soft and "favourable" the midwife said and I'm almost 2cm dilated.

I've had slight crampy feeling since yesterday, but nothing major. Did you have any symptoms before labour or did it just happen out of the blue?

Had 2 babies and both were very different. First time my waters broke dramatically at night then I started having contractions, no warning signs the day before.
With my second I had been having contractions on and off for about a week - just 4/5 at a time then stopping, until the day before she was born I had irregular mild contractions for 24h then all of a sudden I had a show then proper contractions and she was born about 3h after that!

It sounds like you're on your way already.

Just goes to show how different it can be! I'm a first time mam so literally have no idea what to look out for but I guess it's different for everyone ☺️

Yeah, my midwife said it does look like my body is already starting to do something which is positive ☺️

Have sex, make sure you orgasm and get some nipple stimulation.
That will bring it on.

Is there any reaon they gave you a sweep before your due date? Mine is Sunday and didn't realise this was an option.

I am goggling evert symptom going! I've been tearful, had lower back pain and diarrhea. All potential early signs apparently!

There was no reason, I was told they can offer them from 38-39 weeks by my midwife but I do think it varies from trust to trust. She did offer me one last week but I declined and she said she can offer me one at my next appointment which was yesterday I was 39+5 yesterday when I got it done. I was dreading the sweep but it was fine it was uncomfortable but I suppose that's to be expected. Honestly it's draining isn't it, symptom watching haha! I just want him here now I'm just too impatient 😂 x

I'll have to try that see if it works haha! Sex just isn't easy at the minute but it's worth a try haha
