Hello, I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding for 5 days now. Not loads but enough to wear a pad.

Has anyone experienced this and gone on to having a healthy baby or is this a miscarriage?

Thanks

I'm so sorry this is happening my love. Unfortunately only time will tell, do you have any cramps? Is the bleeding filling the pad? Is it fresh red blood?

I've been told I need to wait another week untill I can be sent to the early pregnancy unit to be seen😔

I'm wearing a panty liner so it's not major heavy but enough to wear a pad. It started off only noticing a slight pink tinge when I wiped and then brown and in the panty liner and now it's red and in the panty liner if that makes sense xx

Yeah it's the worst, most EPU's won't see you until at least 6 weeks. It makes you feel like your pregnancy doesn't matter when it matters to you just as much now at 5 weeks than it would at 20 weeks! But I get it's all down to time. I'm so sorry you're having to wait for the week my friend. Sending you a hug & keep us updated! You're not alone xxx

Hello lovely when I was pregnant around the same time as you I got some bleeding, started off quite dark red/pink and then turned into light bleeding and then brown like yours. I was so panicked and went to the hospital where they did tests and told me to wait (which is the worst because you just want to know then and there what’s happening with your baby❤️) I even had a phone call from the hospital to say my hgc levels hadn’t doubled (which scared me even more) I then had to go for another scan which showed my baby was absolutely fine! And they wasn’t too sure what the bleeding was but that baby was healthy. The next week I also had a one off little bleed but the hospital did tell me that light bleeding can be very normal. Fast forward to now my 4 month baby is fast asleep in her next to me crib ❤️ so please try not to panic, i remember being in your exact situation just over a year ago and I know how scary it feels. I hope my story gives a little bit of comfort. Please keep us updated xx

I’m just 5+1 and started bleeding red fresh blood yesterday, no clots though and it’s now slowed to almost nothing. Just light pinkish. Worried sick but EPU won’t do me a scan until the 18th Nov 😭 How are you getting on?

I think you can have private scans from 5 weeks, just go for a private scan

I've had the same thing but except I had brown mucus when I wiped when I went to the toilet. Then I saw 2 spots of brown. Then later I wiped it was pink and bled for another 2 days then the 4th day was light pink then brown as it was finishing . My period was late 1 week as it told me I was pregnant but didn't do a test as I was scared after 2 miscarriages from Dec 23 and June 24. So now 6 months later it's happened again. I had all the pregnancy symptoms for 5 weeks then I started to bleed and thought oh no not again another miscarriage then I got my pregnancy symptoms come back. Went to the doctors and he only looked at the test for 1 min and said, your not pregnant. I said, you have to wait for 3 Mins So i did a pregnancy blood test and it's been 3 days and no phonecall and testing my hcg levels and hormones. I'm still going through the crazy symptoms. Has anyone had this happen to them after a bleed and then get the symptoms come back
