Another chemical?!

Hi all, support needed.
i have had two back to back chemical pregnancies the last two cycles, found out I was pregnant again so rang EPU immediately.
9dpo - HCG level 33.5
12dpo - HCG level 115
Levels seemed to be going well but I noticed my symptoms decreasing slightly since yesterday and tests not getting really dark, which I would expect by now. Is this likely to be another chemical?
from the boots tests below I would have expected more progression if my numbers were consistently going up 😔

Another chemical?!

I'm sorry for your 2 previous experiences and wishing you well with this one.

I'm sorry to say it but, there is no way to tell anything except for time.

I don't do early testing, line progression or symptom spotting because it causes so much worry and anxiety and, personally, I'd rather avoid the pain of knowing about a chemical.

In both my pregnancies, I had no symptoms whatsoever until weeks 6 or 7. One is now a healthy 4 year old and I'm currently 14 weeks with my second.

Good luck

Pregnancy tests are only designed to say if you're pregnant or not. Line progression really isn't a reliable or accurate way of knowing whats happening. But I've also had a CP and know its hard not to worry. Are there plans to repeat your blood hcg test? This would be the most reassuring measure to use until you are far enough along for a scan

Hopefully to reassure you…. My tests never got dark, they were pretty faint even a week after my first positive and I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant, try not to stress about the darkness of the lines, which I know is easier said than done!

@2mumlife Yes I am having another test tomorrow, my symptoms seem to be very up and down.

It's such a horrible place to be mentally isn't it xx

Sorry to hear what you are going through 🩷
I had my first positive 9dpo and confirmed with digitals 10dpo and 12dpo.
I've had very light cramps and twinges before then and up until today (14dpo).
Last night the cramps were still very light but felt different... there was also the smallest amount of browny/pink discharge when wiping. Tmi but feeling wet inside so I am sure there's more to come out. Very worried this is the start of an early miscarriage?😞

@Boymum1995 Hope your hcg test has provided some reassurance

Boymum1995 · 02/10/2024 12:37

@2mumlife thank you, my numbers have been more than doubling so trying to stay positive, thank you xx

@Boymum1995 I called my gp yesterday and have an early 6 week ultrasound booked for next week. Today I feel so much better though and the worse cramps I had have stopped. I also took a pregnancy test again just to check and it is darker than before.
I'm now wondering whether I still need the scan next week or not?! (It will be internal which I'm also worried about) what do you think? It's at the epu through nhs.
Hope you are doing ok 🩷
